Finally, Some Photographic Evidence of the Brotherly Love!

Aias has adored his little brother from day one, but I have been having a really hard time catching photographic evidence of it!

I was really lucky and caught a few incredibly precious moments tonight. Finally!

One of Morgan's favourite places in Victoria from his childhood is Christmas Hill. I can see why; even though it's small, it's so beautiful.

Aias was in heaven there today.  He could have hiked around and climbed there for hours.

Trip to Vancouver Island: Day One, Sidney

We decided to pack up a backpack of stuff and take the bus to the ferry, and take the ferry to Vancouver Island.  Our first stop was Sidney.  We love Sidney because it's close to our favourite campground, Sidney Spit.

Our favourite place in Sidney is the Sidney Bakery!  We basically made this overnight stop to Sidney so we could load up on baked goods ;) I'm kidding... or am I?

But seriously, check out the goods.  And the prices can't be beat, either!

Red Velvet Cookies

Almond Tarts

Peanut Butter Crunchies

Haystack brownies, Macaroon madness, and Nanaimo bars

A Day at Lighthouse Park

We live downtown so we don't have a vehicle (yet!), but today we booked a Modo van and took a drive out to Lighthouse Park in West Vancouver.  It was quick, easy, and a lot of fun.

Babywearing, Yay!

I'm feeling excited because I have access to a woven wrap for the first time ever.  This is a Girasol size 4.  It's pretty short so it may be tricky to find useful for a while, but here's what my evening looked like tonight:

Sort of dorky, right :P Youtube videos on how to wrap. I managed to do a semi-successful first attempt, which was safe, but not ideal.  After that Azi had enough and went to bed.

The Great Fabric Bag De-Clutter

This whole fabric bag movement is pretty awesome, but it's also sort of out of control.  It seems like every place feels the need to have its own fabric bags.  And then I feel the need to keep all the fabric bags I get from all the places.

Gah.

Here's an embarassing photo of all the fabric bags that have amassed in our already-crowded, not-so-big, hall closet:

Here, have a closer look:

I decided to go through them once and for all.  Hell, they were landing on me when I opened the closet!  I chose the ones I loved, donated a bunch, and now it looks like this:

Small victories!

Goodbye Galaxy Nexus, Hello Samsung 4G

My beloved Galaxy Nexus died a horrible death.  Nothing I did, but basically I woke up one morning and the phone was restarting itself repeatedly for no apparent reason.

After intense Googling and going around to several cell phone repair shops in hopes of sparing my pictures, I have finally come to accept that the phone is gone.  I now have a very fancy brick.  It stinks because I have taken immaculate care of that phone from the start. Oh well.

I am especially sad that I was so lazy about using Drop Box and Google Backup, so several newborn pictures are gone forever.  I can't even let myself think about it.

On the plus side, my new phone has an absolutely ridiculous feature that I sort of love:

Don't worry, I am making a silly face there, I don't usually look like that. At least, I don't think so.

I plan on abusing this feature on a regular basis.

I've written on here about Lovable Labels quite a few times, and that's because I truly love them. They are probably the baby/toddler item I've use the most, literally daily, second only to diapers, since becoming a parent.

These labels are the ULTIMATE gift to get any kid that already has everything; durable stickers that they can put on their precious belongings!

Remember, Lovable Labels are waterproof, dishwasher safe, washer and dryer safe, sun safe, bleach safe, sunscreen safe and temperature safe. Pretty incredible, right?

I've done a lot of blog reviews. Lovable Labels is by far my favourite product I've ever reviewed, and this is why I've continuously featured them on here.

I received my Ultimate Camp Pack and decided to get Azriel's name printed on them.  I think they are his first labels, which feels sort of special, seeing as Aias has a ton of them!  I chose a new print called "What a Hoot!":

I think they look adorable:
