Moar Domes

Last night we built a 4V dome out of straws and brads. The preparation and construction were a bit tedious. The straws had to be cut very carefully, and then marked with colored sharpies so we could keep track of each size. Each straw then had to have a hole punched into each end. This particular structure is made out of 250 straws. There are 6 different sizes. We used this reverse calculator here, and our longest strut is 20cm long:

Morgan constructed it while I kept track of Aias, but I did the preparations. I started to help but then SOMEONE *glares at Aias* refused to go to bed. Such is life!

Anyhow, we used this to construct:

Our color codes are the same.

I've adopted the same commenting policy as seen here at Off Beat Mama (http://offbeatmama.com/about/comments). I won't post comments if they strike me as attacking, judgmental, rude, or unproductive. In general if you are willing to put your name to something, I'll post it, but remember to keep your words sweet, because someday you may have to eat them.
